does apply !

Most of the vintage Hammond Organs are worth more now than when they were new.

Aging of the components will cause the sound to change.

But the answer is NOW available.

These Solid State upgrades will bring the old beast back to the sound it originally had at the fraction of the cost of replacement.

With the upgrade kits for reverb, percussion, etc. you can now add features that were not available when they were new.

These kits come with complete, easy to follow, step by step instructions.

VINTAGE HAMMOND UP-GRADE KITS

Does the old beast sound muddy, or just not as bright as it did? Does the sound seem a little distorted? Just not as clear as it did.

If the answer is YES then these solid state preamplifiers are the answer to your problem.

Over the years the components in the old preamplifiers would change values which causes distortion and loss of high frequencies.

One answer would be to rebuild (replace all the capacitors and resistors and tubes in the original preamplifier.) This is very expensive and time consuming. Not to mention the fact that some of the parts are just not being made anymore.

The better answer is to replace the entire preamplifier with the new SOLID STATE models shown below.

Replacement Pre-Amplifiers (Hammond)

  ASAP-3  Solid State Preamp      Trek II ®

AASSP-3   Solid State Pre-Amplifier replaces pre-amps used in Hammond A,B, AB, BA, BC, C, D, G, AV, BCV, BV, CV, DV, RT, B2, C2, RT-2, B-3, C-3, A-100, RT-3, D-152. The AASSP-3 has been carefully designed to reproduce the response of the original tube pre-amp when it was new.

STANDARD FEATURES

Built in reverberation

You can now have that large room sound without any additional equipment.

Built in power supply

You are no longer limited to using the Hammond speaker or only selected Leslie speakers to provide power for the console.

Built in Leslie 122 tremolo control Circuitry

You don't need to purchase a Leslie hookup kit when using a 122 type leslie. The motor control is built in.

Functions with original swell pedal or can be used with remote pedal

It is compatible with the original swell pedal. No modification is required.

AATP-3B CONTROL HEAD    Trek II ®

AATP-3B      Percussion control head

By adding the AATP-3B percussion control head, the percussion circuitry of the AASSP-3 can be utilized to add B-3 type percussion to older consoles.

AASSP-1B Pre-amp     Trek II ®

AASSP-1B   Solid State Pre-Amplifier replaces the two tube (#56-#57) pre-amps used in the Hammond A, AB, B, BA, BC, C, D, G.

Percussion Kits

AATP-2B      Trek II ®

AATP-2B    Percussion Unit adds the famous B-3 type percussion sound to the Hammond A, AB, B, BA, BC, C, D, G, AV, BCV, BV, CV, DV, RT, B-2, C-2, RT-2 consoles, Mounts in the upper left hand end block.

STANDARD FEATURES

Three harmonics... second, third and fifth

The original Hammond percussion only had second and third harmonic. You have added a fifth to the system.

Slide controls for each harmonic

You can now control the amount and mixture of each harmonic. The original Hammond system only allowed for loud and soft.

Adjustable decay rate

You can now control the decay rate from maximum to minimum and anywhere in between. The original Hammond system only had fast and slow.

AATP-3B   Trek II ®     Percussion Control Heat Allows the percussion circuitry of the AASSP-3 Pre-amp to be utilized in older consoles which did not have percussion switches. Mounts in place of the upper left hand end block. Features the same four percussion switch functions as the B-3

AARV-1B    Trek II ®    Reverberation Kit adds reverb to Hammond A, AB, B, BA, BC, C, D, G, B-2, C-2, RT-2, B-3, C-3, RT-3, D-152 consoles.

FEATURES

Uses full size three spring delay line

Full size springs give you the concert hall sound that the smaller springs lack.

Reverb level control

You can now fully control the amount of reverberation from nothing to maximum at your choice.

String Bass

AASB-2500A   Trek II ®      String Bass Unit Adds string bass effects to Hammond A, AB, B, BA, BC, C, D, G, AV, BCV, BV, CV, DV, B-2, C-2, B-3, C-3, A-100, E-100, E-300, L-Series, Porta-B, R-100, organs. Provides 25 notes of deep rich bass with sustain and pluck effect. Installs in standard consoles utilizing the existing pedal switch contacts. Separate 8' and 16' outputs function with the existing pedal drawbars. Although designed to be played from the existing pedals, it will work with any single make contact assembly or keyboard.

You have full control over the amount of pluck (attack) again adjustable to your taste

Tuning is locked by a quartz crystal so it will always be right

The string bass can be connected to the original amplifiers or to a separate SUB-WOOFER system if that deep (heart pounding) sound is needed.

Transposes

Have you ever had a problem with music written in the wrong key for you?

Well.... You can either transpose it manually as you go along or you can use one of the TRANSPOSERS shown below and let it do the work for you.

AATR-2   Trek II ®   Transposer works with Hammond 1100, 2100, 2300, 4000, 5000, 7000, 8000, 9000, 11,000, 16,000, 122,000, 123,000, 124,000, 125,000, 126,000, 132,000, 138,000, 140,000, 142,000, 144,000, 146,000, 222,000, 127,000, 232,000, 246,000, 328,000, 333,000, 810,000. Allows the organ pitch to be shifted in discrete semitone steps as much as 2 semitones sharp or 4 semitones flat.

AATR-2-6     Trek II ®    Transposer Special version of the AATR-2 made specifically for the Hammond X-66 organ. In addition to adding the transposer function it replaces the entire 12 note tone wheel generator used in these organs, making it a cost effective solution in case of generator problems.

 HAMMOND ORGAN OIL

The vintage HAMMOND organs require annual oiling of the generator.

NOTE: For proper operation you must use oil specifically made for this purpose.

The original Leslie driver speaker is no longer available. We have designed and manufactured an adapter plate that allows mounting of any 1" throat screw on driver to the original bearing assy. You can use your own driver or one of the Eminence drivers shown on our Speaker Sales page.

   AARL-1

AARL-1 (Leslie 122 replacement motor relay)

The original relay is no longer available. This kit drops in with one bolt and five wires. It does not require any circuit modification, and still allows the switching delay as the original relay.

PASSIVE CROSSOVER SYSTEMS

Passive crossovers are aviable in several different designes. One way is designed to operate a sub-woofer system. Two way are to be used with a woofer and tweeter system. Three way are used with a woofer,midrange, tweeter system. They are also designed for different power handling capablites.
